Attivita`scientifica svolta presso laboratori esteri:
Nel 1982, mediante concorso internazionale, ha ottenuto dal Public Health Service (USA) una Postdoctoral Fogarty Fellowship con cui ha lavorato per due anni (novembre 1983-dicembre 1985) presso il laboratorio del prof. Anthony R. Means nel Department of Cell Biology del Baylor College of Medicine di Houston (USA). Presso la stessa università ha lavorato in seguito, da giugno a settembre 1986, in qualita` di “Visiting Scientist”.

Fellowship to study the regulatory mechanisms of mammalian spermatogenesis.
1984-1986 As Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Cell Biology, Baylor College of
Medicine, Houston, Texas, was involved in the study of two research topics: the molecular mechanisms that control sperm motility as well as the molecular analysis
and hormonal regulation of calmodulin-dependent myosin light chain kinase in smooth muscle cells. Supervisor: Anthony R. Means.
