ESPERIENZA ACCADEMICA
Francesco Zaghini è un ricercatore a tempo determinato tipo a presso il Dipartimento di Biomedicina e Prevenzione dell’Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata. L’attività scientifica di Francesco Zaghini è incentrata sul Benessere Organizzativo dei professionisti sanitari, con particolare riferimento alla popolazione infermieristica. La letteratura ha dimostrato come un lavoratore che vive un’organizzazione sana con un clima organizzativo motivante e stimolante esprime migliori performance. In ambito sanitario le migliori performance dei lavoratori significa una migliore qualità delle cure e sicurezza per i malati. Lo studio del benessere organizzativo degli infermieri ha portato all’elaborazione di nuovi strumenti di misurazione e lo sviluppo di nuovi modelli concettuali per una migliore comprensione delle dinamiche organizzative, che riflettendosi sui comportamenti in ruolo ed extra ruolo dei professionisti della salute, si riflette sugli esiti per i malati, che per la popolazione infermieristica si concretizzano negli esiti sensibili alle cure infermieristiche. Sono un esempio di esisti sensibili alle cure infermieristiche le infezioni nosocomiali, le cadute accidentali dei pazienti in ospedale, il ricorso alla contenzione dei malati, il ricorso al cateterismo vescicale e la mortalità. Francesco Zaghini è stato principal investigator in studi nazionali e internazionali finanziati dal centro di eccellenza per la cultura e la ricerca infermieristica (CECRI). Relatore e correlatore di numerosi Tesi di Laurea Magistrali e Triennali presso le Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia. È stato coordinatore del gruppo di valutazione e gestione dello stress lavoro correlato presso il Policlinico di Tor Vergata. Francesco Zaghini è revisore di articoli scientifici per diverse riviste internazionali e vincitore di premi nazionali per la ricerca presso diverse società scientifiche (Premio SISI Award per il miglior articolo scientifico della Società Italiana di Scienze Infermieristiche - SISI e Premio di ricerca della Società Italiana per la Direzione e il Management delle Professioni Infermieristiche - SIDMI). ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
Francesco Zaghini is an assistant professor at the Department of Biomedicine and Prevention of the University of Rome Tor Vergata. His scientific activity is focused on the Organizational Well-being of healthcare professionals, with particular emphasis on the nursing population. Literature has demonstrated that a worker who lives in a healthy organization with a motivating and stimulating organizational climate performs better. In the healthcare field, improved performance of workers translates to better quality of care and safety for patients. The study of organizational well-being among nurses has led to the development of new measurement tools and the creation of new conceptual models for a better understanding of organizational dynamics. These dynamics, reflecting on in-role and extra-role behaviors of healthcare professionals, impact outcomes for patients. For the nursing population, these outcomes manifest as nursing sensitive outcomes, such as nosocomial infections, accidental patient falls in the hospital, the use of patient restraints, catheterization, and mortality. Francesco has served as the principal investigator in national and international studies funded by the Center of Excellence for Nursing Culture and Research (CECRI). Additionally, he has acted as a supervisor and co-supervisor for numerous Master's and Bachelor's theses at the Faculties of Medicine and Surgery. He has also served as the coordinator of the stress-related work evaluation and management group at the Tor Vergata General Hospital. Francesco Zaghini is a reviewer for scientific articles in various international journals and has received national awards for research from different scientific societies (SISI Award for the best scientific article from the Italian Society of Nursing Sciences - SISI, and the Research Award from the Italian Society for Nursing Professions Direction and Management - SIDMI).
